One Nutrition® Ocean Mag is ideal for athletes because it’s tested to WADA standards (World Anti-Doping Agency) and therefore totally sports safe.
5 tons of Irish seawater are needed to create just 1kg of magnesium for One Nutrition Ocean Mag. Our powder is so nutritionally dense that a little goes a long way in helping to keep magnesium deficiency at bay.
How to make magnesium bicarbonate
When you remove the water and add the powder you need to do this as quickly as possible. so have everything ready.
1. Using a plastic sparkling mineral water bottle, place in the fridge for 30 minutes or until its chilled.
2. Have 1/4 tsp of the magnesium hydroxide powder ready.
3. Carefully take out the bottle of water from the fridge trying not to disturb it too much.
4. Slowly loosen the screw cap and gently pour 100ml of water out of the bottle into a cup to enjoy.
5. Then place the bottle on the side, add the 1/4 tsp (you can add 1/2 tsp after a few weeks to increase strength), then quickly put the cap back on tightly.
6. Next, shake the bottle as much as possible for the next 60 seconds.
7. Put the bottle back in the fridge to chill.
8. After 30 minutes remove and shake again for another 60 seconds.
9. Wait for another 30 minutes and then your magnesium bicarbonate will be formed.
When starting with this go slowly as like with all magnesium you can take too much and cause loose stools.
Use the magnesium bicarbonate away from food as it is more alkaline in nature. If you notice some burping from using it, add a drop of apple cider vinegar to balance it making it more neutral.
I drink a small glass in the morning and then evening.
Magnesium Bicarbonate is an amazing form for the mitochondria, gaining greater access for entry.
This also contains zero fillers or capsule shells. It is extremely cost effective too and could be used with a soda stream.
